This week’s common exception words to learn are: grammar, opposite, library, weight, quarter, surprise
Next week in maths we will be learning about weight. For your homework this week we would like you to write a list of 10 different items you have weighed. Please use a variety of weights and measurements e.g, grams, kilograms etc This will support the children in a discussion when they feedback their homework later in the week.
Our non-negotiables for this half term are:
- I can use conjunctions: when, so, before, after, while, and, because
- I can spell words which sound the same but have different meanings brake/break, fair/fare, grate/great, groan/grown, here/hear, heel/heal/he’ll, mail/male, main/mane, meat/meet, peace/piece, plain/plane
- I can use inverted commas to punctuate direct speech.
- I can use the first two or three letters of a word to check its spelling in a dictionary.
Also log on to TT Rockstars and spag.com to complete the tasks.
Please can we remind you that homework is due in to school by Wednesday at the latest.
Many thanks for your support.
