Christmas!

Its that mad time of year again when we have the big build up to Christmas (I am sure it gets earlier and earlier!). It is probably the only part of education that has not changed in the 28 years since I started teaching. It is the only part that successive governments and Ofsted have not influenced and by no coincidence is probably the happiest time of the year for most of us.

Next week we have our wonderful Nativity and the Foundation Stage singing to their parents. Christmas parties follow the week after and we finish with our Carol Concert at Emmanuel Church on the morning of 20th December.

The Christmas Fair takes place this Saturday and I look forward to pulling out your winning tickets in the raffle. This will be my ninth Christmas fair at St Peter’s either as a parent or the Head and I’m still waiting for that first winning number!! On a serious note, a huge amount of effort has been put in by the committee and others to ensure Saturday is successful and so please do come and support either by helping or by spending lots of money and having a good time.

I look forward to seeing you all over the next couple of weeks.
